Tri State Kitchens Inc -
of Nashua NH, had an 8 member computer network comprised of various
machines and a mix of Windows 95 and 98. They wanted to utilze a new
kitchen design software application, but were being held back
by the limitations imposed by the old computers and operating systems.
They enlisted our
Legacy System Conversion Services
to bring the entire network up to Windows XP. This included
some new computer purchases, some swapping, and some computer
repair as well. It also involved very careful planning and
attention to detail as the old operating systems were scratched
off and replaced with the new, and all personal settings, documents,
email etc, were manually migrated to make the switch as
seamless as possible. Some older applications were incompatible
with the new XP operating systems and had to be analyzed and
retrofitted. Device drivers for old peripheral devices needed to
be hunted down, etc.
